Engineering Chiefs and Middle Management do not get paid overtime and do not qualify for premium pay for overseas assignments which can be extensive since most work is outside the US in COVID hot spots. Senior Management are former military and non technical. Hence, company organization follows a top down, rigid, Theory X model. No formal work-from-home policy. No defined severance policy. Small Japanese style cubicles provide a cramped and trapped feeling. Poor company ethics (Reference Kobe Steel Data Fraud scandal). No formal bonus program (not percentage based). Don't expect much. No signing bonus for engineers. Stagnant company growth translates to poor career advancement opportunities. Expect travel to 3rd world countries for extended time. Travel time pay not allowed.

- Great benefits - Annual bonus - Volunteer Opportunities - I know I'm supporting something bigger than myself - Team/Family environment that doesn't feel forced - Hybrid Remote/In Office Work Midrex is the first employer I've had where I consistently feel good and excited to be going to work. Leadership from the top down are great people that you want to help out, not just because of their titles but because they are genuine and authentic.

- Small team with a lot of work - After hours work Midrex is a small company and the same applies to my department. While the work is rewarding, our plates are consistently full and if I didn't truly enjoy the company of everyone I work with, I might feel overworked. There are also many occasions that we've needed to be available during various times outside of normal business hours, usually to support teammates that are located outside of the country at different sites or one of our other offices around the globe
