I recently had the opportunity to work at Mind AI, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I am writing this review to shed light on some significant drawbacks that potential employees should be aware of. First and foremost, the benefits provided by the company are disappointingly subpar. Despite being a skilled individual, the salary offered to me was considerably lower than industry standards. This lack of competitive compensation made it difficult to feel adequately rewarded for my hard work and expertise. Moreover, the absence of overtime pay further added to the financial strain, as the company did not value or compensate for the extra effort put into projects and assignments. Additionally, one of the most disheartening aspects of working at Mind AI was the toxic work environment perpetuated by the management. The bosses exhibited a complete lack of appreciation for their employees' efforts and contributions. Even when going above and beyond to deliver exceptional results, recognition and gratitude were nearly nonexistent. This lack of acknowledgment severely impacted morale and motivation, leading to an overall demoralizing atmosphere. In summary, my time at Mind AI was marked by inadequate benefits, low salaries for skilled individuals, unpaid overtime, and a toxic work environment. I believe it is crucial for potential employees to be aware of these issues before considering employment with this company. I sincerely hope that the company takes the necessary steps to address these concerns and create a more fulfilling and supportive workplace for its employees. My colleagues were extremely dedicated and hard-working, intelligent, ready to take on new challenges, and with an eye for constant improvement of the engine. The computers we used were relatively new: the engineers were getting Apple M1s or M2s and the linguists were getting Apple M1s or Intels. Almost everyone at the office had a desk with enough space for a huge monitor, keyboard, mouse, and personal stuff. They were paying for the flights to and from Korea.

Being a startup, the company never offered stock options. The managers didn't seem to understand the big problems within the company and they always forced everyone to soldier on with the little things, without attempting to fix the underlying big picture issues. The managers were not competent enough in their domain, oftentimes making blatant and unacceptable mistakes, meaning that the senior employees had more experience and more vision than them. This lead to MANY senior employees to leave the company. The managers were ageists. The managers rarely appreciated hard effort and working overtime. The work environment promoted by the managers was extremely toxic. Overtime was never paid. The salaries were under the industry level in Korea/Japan/USA.
