Vantaggi

Staff is not micro-managed by management. GREAT benefits and very generous amount of PTO. Competitive (for the most part) salaries. Nice offices and Firm very accommodating to employees regarding ergonomics.

Svantaggi

Commute too long for most living outside of NYC. Firm does not shut down during extreme weather events, so staff must take PTO if they cannot make it in because of dangerous travel conditions. Forced staff to take PTO when late due to traffic delays during commute (i.e. circumstances beyond employee's control).

it has the highest turnover in Boston Big Law for a reason: Higher billable requirements than almost any other firm in Boston; Horrible reputation (both culture and with clients) on the corporate side; Abusive reputation; Very long partnership track (12 years); Unlikely to hit billable hour requirements unless on the M&A team; Very low client retention, especially on the ecvc side; no centralized staffing; Poor support with very few paralegals (and very high paralegal turnover); Losing steam over the last few years.
