Fast paced, do as you're told clique. Some people seem to get on here and be happy, others disappear quickly.

High turnover, with senior management seemingly having a hidden agenda. and being very temperamental and unsupportive. Strange atmosphere, where different opinions are not tolerated. People are removed from position without warning, on the edge of legality. They still think they are a startup.

Genuinely good mission and client base. The rank and file are great to work with. A good number of knowledgeable and kind people. You have a lot of autonomy be it structuring your day to day, or suggesting things you want to work on. Leadership had the best intentions when creating the company with some of the positives leaving a lasting legacy that remained unchanged since, such as flexible working.

Very questionable hiring and business decisions with regards to resource allocation leading to self-inflicted redundancies/etc. Leavers aren't replaced, but instead work is simply divided up and piled onto remaining team members. High profile hires at a time of decreasing revenues is also not a wise move. Leadership became very opaque over time with a lot of unnecessary AI usage and low accountability/consistency. Systematic changes kept being pushed every few months. Revenue generating teams being told they're not generating enough revenue without management taking accountability into investigating why (e.g. sales team not having enough resources). Low EQ/common sense. Favouritism has a very real impact on your progression/workload/job safety with certain people being retained over others on arbitrary reasons. Certain people will also get full support in any suggestions/work they have, whilst others are left to their own devices. Rules will be bent/miscommunicated and selectively applied depending on your relationship with your manager and their relationship to their manager, bordering on discrimination though appreciative this is dependent on manager/team. Cliquey atmosphere with clout-chasers and credit stealers being promoted/rewarded. The inexperience of the leadership team shows both through aforementioned questionable choices and lack of professionalism. Reading from CueAI/a LLM to answer an employee's questions during a live redundancy meeting really isn't appropriate and shows a lack of preparation. Pay is quite low for the sector due to aforementioned poor business decisions. Still not the worst place I worked at though, so it could be worse hence the 2 star rating as opposed to 1 star. At least there's no public beratement, etc. Just a mixture of toxic positivity, hubris, and incompetence from senior management leading to extremely polarised experiences for the average employee, all underscored by high workloads which is unavoidable given its flagging fortunes.

Clientele is genuinely good and the work is interesting. Good collaboration across business functions. Flexible working and ambitious people. Pay is decent. The company mission was a strong pull.

There is significant AI-slop and rushed work. Pressure is chronically high and individuals are asked to go beyond their responsibilities. Structural changes are frequent and poorly communicated. The company goes from hiring and handing out bonuses to salary delays and mass redundancies in matter of weeks. The best people and those who pushback on decisions are let go. There is a deep rooted issue with leadership culture. Limited accountability and a tendency toward insularity with decisions driven by internal relationships rather than sound business strategy.
