Very old school managment - Recensione dipendente - Software Developer presso Mira Geoscience

Mira Geoscience has a very relaxing environment, people never have to work overtime, you work at your own pace. No micromanagement. And people are very nice. they pay for your metro pass.

I find that is a company more focused for people that have a family with kids. They let you take time to go to the doctor and all those appointments. Not that this is something bad, but if you are young and you want to meet people, this is clearly not the company for that. Very old people work here, old mentalities, hard to change their minds to be open to new technologies. It's a geoscientists company not a software company, which for some programmers is not very appealing.

I worked for a couple of years at Mira as a developer. Learned about the mining industry and got to be creative when designing systems.

No fun activities. They really need larger software teams and more flexible deadlines. Strict about not working from home unless there is a good reason for it.
