Honestly I can't think of one bad thing about working here. I mean it's been expanding and growing pretty fast, so aside from the normal growing pains, the organization is GREAT.

There are great members in the team and the organizations you work with are great and powerful.

Everyone seems to be struggling with overtime and people seemed to raise questions on processes and stress in every week's meeting. People will expect you to jump into serious projects without any training the second day of the job. There is no clarity on who is supposed to be doing what and people assign random tasks to everyone. There is not enough feedback and people are too concerned with people pleasing to actually make significant changes in processes. The head of the company does not understand the context and complexities of tasks and gives critical feedback. There are sexist jokes made around sensitive topics that shouldn't be joked about.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a former freelancer, both the goods and the bad. I imagine that you were with us during 2020 and maybe 2021, when the pandemic forced us to switch to virtual settings, and we, as a team, chose to take on additional, critical work around the election. It was indeed intense. Our HR consultant recently conducted an anonymous employee survey (first quarter of 2021), and it revealed that 100% of respondents think our virtual onboarding experience is somewhat to extremely effective. We are taking that feedback to improve. It also revealed that 100% of respondents reported that we match our mission with our actions and 100% reported that they feel all people are valued and respected at Mixte. We are currently discussing this with our team, and once we've completed the internal review, we'll post results on our website. We encourage any employees, prospective employees, contractors and clients to review that if they have questions, or to ask anyone on our team about their experience. - Jamie, CEO (April 28, 2021)
