Casual work environment, nice people, potentially a lot of work can be done - website is not up to industry standards, should be more modern and have stronger brand. Brooke Burke deserves better presentation online.

Two words that describe this company's work culture are "total chaos." In addition management is not familiar with proper California hiring procedures and labor laws. Before I was formally hired, I was given work to do without signing hiring papers. After I started my job and when I asked manager to list my daily responsibilities, internal procedures, and even simple access to necessary files, my requests were ignored. For the next project I presented manager with 3 design options for the new landing page for Brooke Burke, the response was absolutely surprising - "this is not how we work, we do it quick, dirty way, you do not fit in our culture, you will be fired." Here is more. Initially I was offered 20 hours part time job without benefits with the pay that is 1/3 of industry standard. I thought to myself that it might be fun project to complete and it gives me opportunity take care of my family right now, and expecting stable 20 hours of work. When I received my hiring package, pay was $5 less with working more hours; yet during signing meeting hourly pay rate was changed again. I signed papers to get on with the project and assuming that "creative" HR process can be explained in some way I am not aware of. Even now, I only can guess the reason behind it. Overall impression - mom is not so nice and confused with the job incidentally felt in her lap.
