Svantaggi
Their job descriptions often say something to the effect of "fast paced environment with tight deadlines" and "juggling many responsibilities" but what these job postings really mean is you are expected to walk in and fix the mess created by mismanagement and coworkers who left before you. These "deadlines" are not good deadlines like completing a planned project on time, they are deadlines such as "Something went wrong, fix it quickly before it becomes a bigger issue".
Turnover is sky high and everyone that sticks around suffers for it. Turnover is so high that in my short time here departments hollowed out to a skeleton crew and they try to poach other workers from other departments to stem the bleeding regularly.
If you think "dragging in inexperienced people from other departments will make things worse not better" you would be right. This creates a nasty feedback loop where turnover forces even more turnover as problems pile on and on with no fix in sight.
Turn over is so high you spend most of your time fixing mistakes of people that left a long time ago but never got fixed because everyone is busy with fires that popped up more recently.
Worse, management seems proud of this and says the company offers a "challenge" but this is not something to be proud of. Rampant dysfunction is not something to be proud of as a management executive.
I didn't realize what the job descriptions were actually saying behind their sugar coated recruiter speak until I walked in the door and realized I made a terrible mistake.
