- highly political environment can lead to toxicity - confusing messaging about money — we’re doing well, but we can’t hire anyone new, pay for professional development, afford equipment, etc, etc, etc - constant restructuring and change - increasing levels of micromanagement - unfair skill sets across pay levels — some people do much more work than others for the same amount of pay
