-The contact centre staff are lovely, and i have formed close friendships with a few. -They are the only ones that are keeping me going. -The work can be rewarding when there is a complex account and achieve the correct outcome for the customer. - Some of the Team leaders there I feel, really do care for their staff. And really want to boost morale. But It is apparent it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to do so, through no fault of their own.

-No goals to keep us motivated. We are on the phones 24/7 with no other purpose than to reduce the call queue. - Call feedbacks and 1-2-1s with Team leaders have been abolished. They are always cancelled last minute. We have not been receiving our call audits for the past 9 months i think it isn't important enough for higher management for staff to get feedback. so why do we even have an audit team? -Recently, complaints were given gifts for "all their hard work" now that higher management have heard about customer service finding out, my bets are with us getting something now. We are always an after thought. -We are the only department that are fully back in work so we have to answer a lot of other departments' queries, and there is a time lag due to other departments not having a basic device called a phone. (It has been over 6 months) you would have thought they would be able to sort this by now?! -Higher management do not listen. They ask for our opinions and then probably toss them in the bin straight after, what a meaningless excercise. -Some Staff can benefit with more training, it causes more work for everyone when they are making mistakes. They do not get the feedback needed so can never learn from their mistakes. And it means more customers repeat calling because of this. -Not a great wage for the amount we actually do for that company. -Work shifts change every 5 minutes. -Lack of communication between different departments but this is the least of their worries. -Lack of communication between higher management to customer service staff.

It’s great you’ve made some really close friends here at Moneybarn and you have recognised the great work of the Team Leaders – we will be sure to pass this on. As a result of the ongoing pandemic we have had to ensure that our building remains COVID-secure and therefore have had to prioritise which business functions return to the office, to ensure the safety of all our employees. Thank you for your constructive feedback, as with the ever-changing nature of the pandemic we will continue to look at ways to improve processes and procedures for employees working onsite and remotely. We want everyone who works at Moneybarn to feel that this is great place to work and enjoy working here. We’re very sad to read that your experience currently doesn’t match this. Close-knit team structure. Reasonable pay. Flexible working hours. New CEO is providing frequent and personal communication about wider business matters.

Increasingly combative and politicised culture. Colleagues are not open to exploring or discussing new ideas. The culture encourages work for the sake of work, colleagues are frequently online during their annual leave and after-work hours, and line managers have said that if you want to be considered for promotion you have to put in unpaid hours. No clear paths for professional development or growth in role and responsibilities. Line managers are disinterested at best and hostile at worst if you wish to discuss promotion opportunities. Senior leadership can be out of touch with business challenges and opportunities. Flip-flop approach to management from both line managers and senior leadership. The business doesn't reflect and learn from mistakes. However this appears to be changing with the new CEO.

Thanks for writing the review. We are working closely with colleagues to make sure that Moneybarn is a great place to work. We offer all colleagues opportunities to develop - whether by attending in house training or utilising apprenticeships available across all functions and skills.
