Monks is a highly dysfunctional, unorganized, mess of an organization. I've worked for several agencies throughout my career, and while each agency has its up and downs I've never had such lofty multi-million dollar goals and expectations with zero processes in place to achieve said goals. Teams are pieced together week by week, layoffs are rampant (approximately 3 or 4 mass layoffs over the last 6 months) and work-life balance is non-existent. It's clear that leadership here is clueless about what they want Monks to become, as we are overspending on AI investment and have tooling that is all smoke and mirrors used to sell into enterprise organizations with zero ability to actually perform as sold. It's scary to see an agency like this. If you want any indication as to how Monks is trending take a look at S4 Capital PLC stock prices and there's your answer. Monks revenue has decreased significantly over the course of the last 4 years because of the inability to deliver on what they promise. If you want to grow as a professional and be a valued employee then stay as far away as you can from Monks.
