- All of the 'ism's': Racism, Favoritism, Nepotism. - Low pay: Scapegoats the union to not pay competitive rates. - No room for advancement within the same dept. - Some clique-ish co-workers like high school. - Expects employees to train new staff without compensation. - Poor supervisors/Director: Threatens employees, pushes work off to employees, not helpful, minimal concern about employees' well-being, vindictive/retaliatory behaviors. You're just a number/worker/paper pusher. Clinical skill set not appreciated, wanted, or compensated. Poor management of the overall program budget. The program's life expectancy may last 1 - 2 more yrs. May end sooner. - No structured plan to address a caseload of employees on leave. The employee is responsible for incomplete work of an unmanaged caseload while they were on leave upon return and blamed for not catching up quickly enough. - Lost the main source of income to the program (intake team) following threats to them. Hired a new group at a lesser pay rate, but aren't skilled in intake to train them = recipe for failure. Not to mention governmental budget cuts to the program. - Secretarial staff: One nice new Secretary. The other has an attitude problem at times.
