Operations are directed quietly and remotely by one individual, limiting the authority of on-site leaders and undermining execution across the organization. If you're knowledgeable in your field and highly productive, expect interference from the absentee owner on side projects, without a corresponding adjustment to job duties or compensation. Pushing back on scope-creep will upset this individual and may result in termination without warning. The result is a company constantly taking one step forward and two steps back. HR moves slowly, and documentation was not provided despite multiple written requests. The department is structured to protect the company rather than support employees.
