Long work hours. Poor work/life balance. Varying shift schedules. Sometimes assigned to work alone in dangerous environments where a serious risk of violence is present. Poor and inadequate training. Lack of compassion or concern for employee well-being. Poor communications with management and supervision. Must purchase uniforms and all equipment (very expensive). Low pay for job hazards and duties. No benefits packages. No long-term future career options. Slow to advancements.
