- You can walk in off the graduation stage with no hands-on experience and if you have a desire to learn assembly they'll teach you from the ground up.
- Management is flexible regarding family/life needs once you've proven yourself.
- Shifting around to cross train between assembly, machine shop, CnC department and inventory can be fairly easily accommodated as each departments weekly workload fluctuates and you can be rotated in during a lull to learn the ropes.
- Management, at least during my time of employment, is very easy to talk to and always has their door open (Don C and Kirby Y)
- Profit sharing bonus program, BUT can be hit-miss since it's based on overall USA corporate profitability and not individual locations.
Svantaggi
- After about a 8-12 months you'll have learned all there is to learn. Each project/client has their nuances, but the core skills are the same. For comparison, imagine different toppings everyday, but the same flavor of ice cream.
- Corporate is very stingy about raises, the rate you start is the rate you'll stay at outside of the yearly +$0.15-$0.25 (if that)
- If you find yourself irritated by a coworkers mannerisms or aura there's really nothing to be done since the employee pool is so small.
