Vantaggi
- My managing Engineering was fabulous (I would quit if I worked for any other engineer in my department tho.) - Insurance and retirement is available - People are nice in the office I was in
Svantaggi
- Management is lousy - Teams do not communicate ( Mainly Mechanical will call at last minute stating you HAVE to get a project done for them by some unreasonable deadline in the Southeast Gas and Oil team) - Getting a raise is a farce (Was told in Oct./Nov. “wait till Jan. 1st will approve with everyone else.” It never came. Asked again, they said “oops I didn’t approve it, now it’s on to HR.” Waited. Nothing. Asked again, “oh let me see what is going on.” The next week I was let go because of overzealous pandemic response on April 2nd. Turns out it never got approved by the 50 thousand managers necessary to get a raise according to HR. P.S. my personal manager pushed for my raise and tried his best but has no real say in the matter.) - Stressful work environment due to so many overlapping projects - Change in a good way can not happen because upper management doe not listen to the lower management teams - Massive turnover of lower level employees due to overworking and under recognizing achievements and productivity - The front line of IT is all Indian and more often than not are no help or make the problem worse.
