In a tough year for the company, where we suffered through layoffs, pay freezes, 401k cuts, office closures, all sorts of benefits cuts... our C-suite did not mention any of that on wide forum. Whether it be fear or cowardice, they never faced the music for a rapidly decreasing employee morale. Now that being said, what did they choose to discuss during company all hands instead? Remodeling their kitchen floors, their thousand dollar Gucci belts, Michelin star dinners, and more! I can't make this up. You're conducting silent layoffs after layoffs were supposedly over and this is how you choose to communicate to your employee base. When you work for a start up you need to have conviction in the leadership. This ain't it.
