The only position valued is sales. Management does not care about support staff (the people that actually make things happen). They will constantly change your pay making it difficult to plan accordingly. You’re a commissioned account manager making a whole half a percent on transactional jobs and a whole one percent on agency accounts (you won’t get any agency accounts) . You’ll get approximately zero training. You won’t get rich being an account manager. You’ll survive...but that’s about it. You’ll spend your days and nights completely stressed and never feeling like you’re doing a good job. You won’t get rewarded for doing a good job....someone else will get the credit you deserve 99% of the time. To call this place an advertising agency is disingenuous. They are a telemarketing company who’s primary mission is to SELL SOMETHING and it doesn’t matter if what they sell is detrimental or of little actual marketing value to the client. Real ad agencies don’t operate like this place does.
