Vantaggi

The culture is so-so. Music playing all the time, free snacks, sodas and beer. Sounds like a fun place to work, right? I will say that they seemed to value work-life balance evidenced by the frequent "Fridays Off".

Svantaggi

These guys are like used-car salesmen. The will say whatever it takes to close the sale. I worked there for awhile and kept asking how we show the ROI for the clients and never got an answer. They sell digital marketing and use "shove-it-down-your-throat" sales methods. The truth is, they have laid off a ton of people (friends that I made while working there). Only a very small percentage only make it past a year. They churn through sales people like it's nothing. They target entry-level sales people, provide a couple of weeks of training, promise huge incomes and let the VAST majority of the new hires go within a year. They promise big with great incomes, nice trips every year and tons of benefits. The same 10 people go on every trip and earn good money and it's been that way for years. If you didn't get into this several years ago, don't waste your time. Just for perspective, I have always been a top sales-performer (I was one of the few experienced sales reps they hired...a friend convinced me to join him when he went to work there). I can tell you from experience that this company sucks.

Social media is certainly a tricky thing, and as an HR professional, I'm grateful for platforms such as Glassdoor in that they allow an opportunity to show a "day in the life" of a firm... but on the flip side, can sometimes disseminate misinformation. Luckily, we have an opportunity to reply, so here goes... "Lay off a ton of people", no, certainly not the case. As a matter of fact, our attrition rates are a fraction of the industry norm and we haven't had a "lay-off" in years. "Provide a couple of weeks of training" - wrong again, try 3-4 months of on-boarding including 5-6 weeks of classroom followed by a formal mentorship for an additional 6-8 weeks. In all fairness, this comprehensive training program has not always been the case and if you were not afforded this rigorous training opportunity that's unfortunate. Regarding trips- we actually sent 25 people to President's Club, not 10 and they were a healthy mix of long-term and earlier career sales reps who knocked their numbers out of the water... while making an amazing living financially. Not sure where you were a "Top sales performer" before but our firm can be described as anything but “sucks” based on our A+ BBB rating, incredible renewal rates with our clients for more than 18 years and again an attrition rate that is the envy of sales groups across the nation. Regarding your disdain for our executive team, well, sounds like its best you've moved on.

Highly recommend if you are not afraid to cold call. Great culture and place to start if you have never done sales before!

Svantaggi

Redundancy - you are doing the exact same thing every single day. Be ready to hit the phones hard.
