Vantaggi
Access to smart people. Answers has given me opportunities to collaborate with some of the brightest folks in the industry. Answers is in a rapidly changing segment of the content publishing business, it's been competitive - super competitive. As the industry shifts, the Answers business has always been nimble and shifts along with it. Pro's: 1. People: You're amongst some of the coolest people you'll meet in tech. You'll meet people from very diverse backgrounds who know their sh*t. 2. Atmosphere: The office is cool, the kitchen is stacked. Bring a lunch if you don't want to gain weight but the food has gotten healthier as time has went on. 3. Flexibility: Management understands that life happens. You don't get a punchcard working here. Get your work done and find innovative solutions to problems. 4. Technology: You can leave you Ti-83 at home. You're always going to get access to the latest and greatest gear so you can get your work done. 5. Career Growth: As long as you're comfortable with (constantly) being placed out of your comfort zone + have a willingness to lead, you'll have no problem with future career growth. 5. Retirement/Health/Vision: The last thing you have to worry about are the benefits. You're covered BUT see below:
Svantaggi
1. M*tlife Dental plan is kinda wishy/washy. I always feel I'm always out of pocket for something when preventative is supposed to cover $2,000. 2. Answers (corporate) has grown so we have a mini-campus that has 3 (connected) offices and 1 Clayton office. Consolidation would be nice.
