As your are the client facing representative who also has responsibility to validate the built software functionality, there is a lot of hands on and detailed knowledge acquired while working among bright and great people.

Work done beyond the job description is discounted. Workload and over-achievement matter less to the bonus level than the project or manager you are involved with. Very poor work-life balance. Deceptive career management practice.
