Vantaggi
Musika's website provides easy access to all available prospective students. Requesting these students is relatively easy and I've been given about half of the students I've requested. They provide you with the names of both payee and student, the students age, level of playing, available lesson times, and location. You're also able to negotiate you rates during the interview.
Svantaggi
Teaching online is NOT worth it. While you're able negotiate your rates during the interview, online lessons are paid at a flat rate of $20/hour. The agreed rate of in-person lessons was slightly lower than the average music studio in my area.
The order of students preference in given for in-home vs at teachers location, or online. However, more often than not I've contacted the student only to find out they're only interested in one of those options or are only interested in taking lessons online if the teacher lives in their area (so they can transition to in-person lessons).
I began teaching for Musika just before the Covid-19 pandemic and was forced to only teach online. I wish Musika would've offered to pay teachers the agreed in-person rates for online lessons, because virtually all students available to teach in-person were gone. It's very difficult to make a living on rates so low when teaching doesn't provide the 40 hour work schedule other professions offer.
