Cal Poly's mustang news has a great atmosphere and fun people. You get to plan fun events which is also great.

No complaints about working at mustang news as a marketing associate besides that you only get to work a few hours per week for the most part.

Mustang News has a great way of reporting and challenging all those that work there. The content is insightful, absolutely news-worthy, and does a great way of reaching into every nook of what might be worthwhile to the reader. The community is welcoming and allows workers to do their best job at everything, despite tight deadlines.

Communication is something that needs work, which is pretty common amongst student media outlets. Though employees are often underpaid, it's not their fault. In fact, it's an anomaly that reporters and editors are paid at all. With this being said, there are ways in which management could improve diversity of staff and coverage, but I know that's something they're working on.
