Majority of the teachers there are the same race so they will always exclude those who don’t speak their language which is Malay. I’ve seen and personally experienced this being excluded when there’s important messages about the infants and when I wasn’t aware of certain changes I will get the stink eye and the belittling comments in their own language even things like that cannot communicate in English then what more conversation between colleagues. I’ve seen other than their own race teacher (Chinese) being scolded for something that wasn’t intentional done by an AT! I know she has lots of experience but it’s very sad to see an AT scolding a main teacher (Chinese), for a fact it is only like that because of race when the table turns and is one of Malay teacher did the same thing she will laugh and speak in a respectful manner. I feedback to the P and AP but nothing was done even the P speak Malay in the class only the one higher then the P Ms Masna encouraged all to only speak English so everyone can understand but all turned a deaf ear. Even an assistant person that’s not trained and new to this industry speaks louder in Malay like cursing or making hurtful remarks about me when I said things out of doubt, can’t say anything back knowing shes just got pregnant and all of them will make a big hooha if anything goes against her. (Mind you she’s not even trained)
