Terrible management low level and upper management. Discrimination to women doctors. Discrimination to senior doctors. Incompetent store managers given to much power over optometrist. Scheduling for children minimal allowance. HR a waste of time and do not respond to complaints. Unappreciative of doctor's time and/or concerns. Staff poorly trained. Whistleblowers considered threatening and retaliation occurs Vindictive store managers Inability to work with doctors and staff issues on any level of management. Minimal raises even when goals achieved Optometrists disrespected by some staff without any recourse for doctor No way to solve issues Upper management incompetence and naivety No direction or support Unreasonable expectations Jealousy of staff members that would complain behind your back No ethics Avoid being influenced by the perks and salary. It was definitely not worth being so Unappreciated! Find optometry positions where you are treated with respect and kindness. Plenty of positions available my fellow optometrists that love this field like I do. Keep looking!

The office environment was pleasant, and the stocked snacks and beverages were genuinely appreciated. A few colleagues were supportive and tried to help where they could. The company is expanding, which may appeal to individuals who enjoy rapid change and ambiguity.

Priorities shift frequently, sometimes without enough context for employees to understand the reasoning or how to adjust their work accordingly. Communication from leadership varies by team, and it can be challenging to get clarity on decision‑making or long‑term direction. Feedback mechanisms are limited, and employees may struggle to understand how their performance or contributions are being evaluated.
