I have never experienced such unprofessional, disorganized, vindictive managers and directors in my career. By the time I left I had zero faith in or respect for anyone I reported to in the marketing department at the Houston Corporate Office. I was given tasks with no planning, foresight, or common sense in decision making applied to them. I was told I was the project lead, yet given zero ability to make even the smallest decisions without being micromanaged. But as soon as something went wrong, it was my fault. Vendor selections and systems and processes decisions were made without research, and money was constantly wasted when these vendors and systems did not work out or took significantly more time and resources than were originally estimated. I was given no or little resources, yet still required to produce. When projects were delayed due to the ineptitude and awful business decisions the corporate employees made, they refused to reevaluate timelines. I was thrown under the bus by a middle-level employee to an upper-level employee. These two were good personal friends, so despite me producing proof that I was not to blame for the issue, and that the mid-level employee throwing me under the bus instead was, I was still held accountable. I witnessed someone else be martyred and lose their job because of decisions made by these same few problem people who constantly crossed the line with their personal friendship and resulting loyalty to one another. I personally witnessed inappropriate behavior between executives on work trips, including sexual advances. I ended up physically ill for a period of time, due to the stress levels of this job.
