First, they allegedly took away half of our bonus to pay all workers equally. Then, they promised to refund us the difference between the new and old bonus. The refund was never properly paid. Then, they introduced a new version of the bonus, which is impossible to achieve (0 sickness policy, resulting in severely ill people coming to work). After this change of heart, equal pay is no longer a priority :D Basically, they expect you to become a robot, who processes 300+ items per hour, never gets sick, is entirely mute, and never complains. A trade union is a joke. They act only in the interest of overheads; the person who 'negotiated' the new bonus policy recently got promoted. In their goodbye message, they thanked only senior and management staff. Very telling. They want more and more for less and less pay; new people resign after a few weeks, company struggle to keep new staff. Earbuds are not allowed, talking is not permitted, and workers can only stand for 8 hours listening to a radio blasting music on full volume. Heavy lifting limits? Forget about it! Even the thermometer in the warehouse is set to Fahrenheit because our lovely overheads think so low of us that we are incapable of reading the temperature in anything other than Celsius. Awful place, avoid.
