Workload unsustainable. When I first started, adjusters never left unless they were promoted. Now, turnover is high. There is too much expected from one adjuster, claim volume is up and adjusters are down. NJM prides on customer service however when getting 12 claims on a Monday, they should be lucky any service is provided at all. If you are good at your job expect to get more responsibility ( desk coverage, help with training ) with no reward. I was constantly stressed out. When I needed help, it was expected that I could just get it done. However when less competent team members needed help, I was expected to drop everything and hold their hand. Promotions used to be given the the best adjuster on the floor. Now they are given to whoever management feels like giving it to. They then get confused as to why you are unhappy / would want to leave. Required to be in the office 3 days a week. This is so ridiculously behind the times. We proved that during Covid we could work remotely. All other insurance companies allow for flexibility. NJM has none in this regard. There is no reason this needs to be done. Might as well bring back the suits and ties while you’re at it. The only people who want to go into the office are the old men who run it who think no one is working at home. This is outdated and you will have a hard time employing / keeping people.
