Vantaggi

Nice gym onsite Great coworkers

Svantaggi

*Any company that refers to itself as a Family should put you on high alert. It’s a dysfunctional family at best. No investment in meaningful technology that works and unwilling to hire people. If you aren’t investing in tech to do the work then hire more people. *Pay the people you hire. 50k (35k after taxes) is not a livable wage anymore. Rent, student debt, health insurance, car payment and car insurance and you are eating at the Food Shelf. Literally I’ve gotten food from the food shelf but hey you can volunteer 40 hours a year. Senior Leadership needs an invite to 2023. *Culture is a joke. People are so burned out they cry at work. No time for development-do it on your own time, when you aren’t working mandatory overtime. They have a culture committee but your smoothie truck and cheap company swag isn’t making people feel better. Everyone is overworked and stressed out. *They say they are a middle America company - a Main Street company but most of their employees cannot afford to buy their products, most of their employees can’t even tell you what their products are. You are trained to do the task not ask why. *Jobs are moving to India and the Philippines. !!! Maybe if you paid people here a living wage and provided time to learn, you’d get good American employees who can afford to live on Main Street. *It’s all about the numbers not the people and those who are close enough are too scared to talk and tell the truth. You only get promoted for towing the company line. You get spoken to about how you want to ‘show up’ when you speak up. It’s such gaslighting at a corporate level. I can’t pay my bills-you get paid a lot, We are overworked -no we have enough employees you just need to be more efficient, I want to learn and grow - you are on the job (as you slave away only doing the tasks I assigned you and nothing else).

Thank you for your feedback. We, of course, do not want anyone working at National Life to feel this way. Our goal remains to provide all employees a workplace where everyone feels valued, adds value, and lives our values. I hope you will give me the opportunity to speak with you directly about your concerns so I can better understand them and figure out how to best address them. My door is always open and I’m available when you’re ready. Michael Veilleux – Chief People Officer

Vantaggi

Good pay, nice people to work with but as a consultant I feel a bit on the "outside".

Svantaggi

Every single person that is an Executive Vice President is a man with the only woman being the CEO's Executive Assistant. Clearly you can see there is a distinct "known" here at this company.
