a lot of gossip and drama - management doesn't do much to step in in a timely way. they don't really care much about their employees, write up often, and overall moral was almost always low. high turnover. we had to deal with difficult and inappropriate regular customers on a daily basis; women often being sexually harassed by "regulars". no security guard and little security training, bordering a neighborhood with a high crime and drug use rate. best perk was the discounts and freebies; freebies got taken away.

Management is non-confrontational, which has led to toxic and even violent employees never being dealt with for how they treat coworkers. Management is very poor in communication. You will never be made to feel accomplished. You will constantly be told about everything you're doing wrong even if you are a model employee. Benefits are bottom of the barrel. Cheapest insurances the company could find. Company tries their hardest to save money at the cost of employee morale and customer safety. This includes trying to get mold and disease infected cannabis onto store shelves to save money from a botched grow/harvest. There are no standard operating procedures in place and management clearly does not know what they are doing and push down any supervisors/leads who know how to run a proper business. Management didn't even do a yearly review until 1.5 years later and only did so because the CCC was coming to do an inspection. Employees have been written up and even fired based upon hearsay. If someone with good performance numbers dislikes you, all it takes is a report and a couple of their friends to ruin your employment in this company. One employee I knew was written up on false reports made to discriminate them for their orientation and given no ability to repeal.
