Our hybrid requirements have increased in terms of office presence. Executives keep talking about moments that matter, when really nowadays everyone is just doing it to check off a box. At this point, upper leadership doesn’t really care about actual employee work life balance. The sweet spot was 2 days so we can stay engaged, but still have flexibility. Now we are just like any other bank out there. It’s also impacting front line stuff who are member facing and impacting their ability to be there for the members. A lot of these team members are over worked and now don’t even want to do more overtime when asked because they spend more time commuting. That’s time taken from their families and from time they could actually work

Coworkers are great, free coffee if you get there fast enough.

Pay is lagging behind cost of living especially with the increased commute requirements. Requirements to be on campus appear to be because one man said so. The space was not ready for the increases,they removed some of our open office spaces to cram in more cubicles, or really just desks, there are no walls. Management is checked out completely from their employees. Mid level supervisors are clueless and favoritism abounds. Working hard and enjoying your job does not get you anywhere if you haven't "impressed" the right people. New CEO needs to go. Give us someone that will foster the work environment you claim to have. Before considering nfcu think about your values. If you dont mind fear tactics, and being a number the new version of NFCU might be the place for you.
