The new executive team has adopted what feels like the most profound Us vs. the little people mentality. The CEO likes to paint a picture of “Joe Working Man” who faced great poverty and adversity growing up which fuels his current approach to leadership, which would be fine if he (and the rest of the c suite team) weren’t living in luxury while those of us on the front lines work long hours coming home exhausted from burnout weren’t barely scraping by on extremely low wages. They also regularly promote sycophants who are gifted at perpetuating the negativity, extreme burnout and dangerously toxic culture. Many long-time employees have been forced to leave due to health-related issues stemming from the high demands from the leaders, general low respect, and barely livable wages.
