Vantaggi
Great benefits that are leading in the area. 401(k) match was standard 3%. Work/life balance was good, occasionally had to stay late but that's expected with engineering jobs working in projects. There is flexibility in your work day, so if you need to have an appointment during the work day or needed to tend to family matters you could do so as long as it is not interfering with your work. The salary seemed on par for the area. Vacation was great, 20 days starting but do not get an increase until 20 years of service. The people were all pretty good to work with, but there are some exceptions.
Svantaggi
The biggest complaint among people is the work environment. Die Cast is a hot and dirty environment, but as an engineer you won't be doing much work that requires you to get very dirty. Advancing your career is difficult to do there. People do get promotions but it seems HR only gives promotions when they feel like it. I worked there multiple years and was apart of multiple new programs, but no promotion. Meanwhile someone who hires in close to the same time I did with the same amount of experience was promoted after 1 year.
