Vantaggi
This was an amazing experience! They were open to discussion during the hiring process, during the conference (phone) interview, gave wonderful feedback, allowed time for resume adjustments, asked questions about my life and career goals, and were open about their experiences in the past. Either this was through the building of a a relationship between me and everyone I spoke to and being honest with each other during the entire process, or they have a greater appreciation for their employees. Either way, I was impressed. There is great opportunity for growth. If you are open to moving to Kansas City, jump onto the team NOW, they will have National recognition once the project is complete! I would enjoy an opportunity to collaborate or work with them in the future!
Svantaggi
(Do not read too far into it, I only interviewed and declined the offer for personal reasons and had a second offer) Small rotating teams (shifts) with very little room for adjustment if someone leaves, which only allows for minimal training and mentoring to those who may need it. They already have a plan that fixes this issue and allows for more time off. Current project will only get larger and more complex, I expect a need for 20-50 more employees and an increase in physical/digital infrastructure by the end of the year. Pay and Salary increase limited to DoD contract funding/limitations.
