Really nice people who care about the company and their mission
Svantaggi
This company should be making money like they’ve got their own printing press. The product and its ability to cure people who suffer from depression is absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately, they can’t cure the depressing environment that exists inside their home office and that permeates the company culture. The Executive Leadership Team is completely out of touch; they ignore, or just don’t care about, the rampant morale problem that has existed for several years. And decisions about managing customer relations are regularly made out of desperation, not with any degree of long-term strategy. The Sales Team only produces at the end of each quarter; cramming through deals in that third month with no thought towards the long-term impact on the company or the customer they claim to be “servicing”. The CFO is completely out of touch with his department and, when asked, makes almost no effort to evaluate potential deals that fall outside the scope of what is deemed “normal” or in the best interest of the company. I can’t really call him incompetent, because he’s not involved enough to display his level of competence. I would say the word that best describes this CFO is either “disinterested” or “coasting”. I think he’s committed to doing as little as possible and avoiding any responsibility for the sole purpose of maintaining plausible deniability should things go awry. (My original review contained more specific details, which GD determined might “disclose trade secrets or confidential company information”. But suffice it to say, this guy is not invested in his team and really couldn’t be more disconnected from the department that he’s supposed to be leading.) When the company recently raised $85M with a secondary stock offering, 3 members of the Executive Leadership Team were “promoted” and given raises (all of which is public knowledge). This happened less than a year after the company laid-off a third of their entire work-force in response to the Covid pandemic. Could there be a less responsible use of the funds that they scammed from institutional investors?? People continue leaving the company in droves and the desperation isn’t even very well hidden anymore. Sadly this is a sinking ship; those who remain are merely rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. If you want to work for a strong company with a product that improves people’s lives, look elsewhere. This is a sick and toxic culture where logic and reason are shunned like the plague.
