Promotions are based on how well you kiss butt and even then they would rather hire externally. How you actually do your job has no impact what so ever. The senior leadership team is so out of touch with reality that if they knew how their company was being managed they would make changes. Often times sales reps are asked to compromise and make bad business deals simply because the account has been with NB for decades. Not to mentions silly initiatives, such as the run specialty one. Our two best shoes can only be sold at run specialty accounts. No other company does this but NB and it's costing the company millions of dollars. Lastly, quality of product has been questionable as best. I cannot tell you how many times I have had samples that were defective and not sellable and I was told to keep may mouth shut.
