      nothing really. Maybe the pay if you are desperate, it's a small company so growth is limited. The owner micro-manages everything, so look forward to that.

      The insurance used to be free, not anymore. The training used to be free, not anymore. They usually get contracts by lowballing and paying the officers really low salaries. The turnover rate is really high. They never stand behind their officers. They talk about a balance in customer service and security, sometimes people act like idiots then complain about you. Just the nature of the job, warning don't do it.

      New Horizon has a great group of employees, casual environment, and lots of growth.

      The upper management at New Horizon is very disconnected from the guards and support staff. Communication is a serious problem and they do not have the infrastructure to continue getting large contracts. The pay is below average as are benefits. They will fire or make you reapply for your job pretty quickly if they feel things are not going their way. Employee retention is terrible because they make as low as $8.50/hr with no possibility of a raise if the guards stay at the same site. The supervisors are sometimes unreasonable and will go on a "power-trip" and fire people that they need to run sites effectively.
