Good company to work at, great colleagues

Too many structural changes with little impact. But depending on your department, it might not affect you

Truly a great group of people. The people working in the accounts are so smart, and so strategic, and a pleasure to work with. There's a very flexible work/life balance, there isn't really an "approval" process for PTO as long as you get your stuff done and communicate when you may be OOO. You can really own your accounts and have a lot of freedom in your strategies if you have time. The health plan is really incredible, and 100% covered.

Seemed like people were getting too much on their plate in the last year or so. I haven't been at an agency (or even interviewed for one) that has had so many clients assigned to one person before. It's difficult to juggle, and there was little time for deep work. I would have rated Newfangled with 5 stars if I didn't have such a negative experience around maternity leave. In some states, there are minimum weeks leave that Newfangled is required to adhere to, and it took more than one meeting for me to get some of those weeks. In the end, I still didn't feel totally empowered to take my full leave that CA protects. During an already difficult time, I was needing to spend time learning about the laws, speaking with employment lawyers, and stressing about the situation.
