Vantaggi
- competitive benefits - lots of mobility across roles and geographies - lots of opportunity to impact improvements - good employee morale programs (parties, food, awards, etc.) - leadership desire to do and be better (just not executing on it for reasons described below)
Svantaggi
- total emphasis on cost control at the expense of product quality, innovation, learning, program excellence, efficiency and customer experience. Isn't possible for a high tech company to continue operating in this manner and remain successful. Note that growth is almost exclusively from acquisitions. - low trust culture: more tightly held decision-making than I've seen at any other company. Several top-talent leaders left because they were not allowed to make key decisions for their groups - lots of responsibility and accountability without authority which is senseless. - Mostly C and below talent, A talent gets frustrated with the tight control and mediocrity built into the culture and leaves. - Infrastructure and processes are so inefficient and clumsy that it becomes a serious barrier to getting one's job done. - Very much a glass ceiling for non-Israelis. Israelis are routinely given preference for leadership jobs outside of Israel, even when they are nowhere near as qualified as local candidates. This really hurts the business in many ways. - Work-life integration for most is non-existent. There is a belief that if you don't work 60-80 hours every week, you're not really committed. Employees who are parents of children routinely have to sacrifice their relationships to be successful.
