Vantaggi
- sometimes they hire skilled employees but they are limited in terms of flexing their abilities thanks to quantity over quality mentality - managers are good and technically sound (some of them atleast) - good looking office in Bengaluru
Svantaggi
you will very likely be joining AM tech if you are interviewing at nielsen. - The downfall of Nielsen has started thanks to AM Tech CTO and the entire mismanaged higher management in charge of tech right now. - Morale is an all time low, everyone wants to quit because of policies. Absolutely no regard for quality work. Priority is ALWAYS quantity over quality. They do not care about the correctness of the product that’s delivered to clients who pay Nielsen millions of dollars every year. - innovation has completely stopped in this org and they are fully focused on generating sub par quality products - even the best managers are unable to deliver quality work because of the pressure to deliver more and more - stack rankings and other toxic Amazon culture has trickled down to Nielsen because of management during hike cycles - fire and hire remains their main strategy from Byjus. - even service based companies have better policies for employees compared to AM Tech CTO’s polices - they exploit your vulnerabilities during salary negotiations and you will never get market value unless you have offers in hand, same thing for hikes. Even “market correction” during hikes are in single digits Shameful policies set by AM Tech CTO so far: - 8 hours of work at office compulsory (they don’t care about the 3h commute to Whitefield or evening calls with US team) so you end up working 12-14 hours a day - only 10 WFH allowed for the ENTIRE year - a single day of WFH will require the permission from the lord CTO himself - from April it would be 5 day WFO but the 8hours at office still stands - free lunch removed, office cab not available if you want to come with your own transport - office cabs have slots but they will never match your schedule unless you plan on staying 9 hours at office By the way AM Tech CTO has never made any good change in terms of technology only anti employee changes in policy any critisism raised in townhalls is met with "IF THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU THEN NIELSEN MAY NOT BE THE PLACE FOR YOU" absolutely shameless.
