Honestly, the only good thing about working here is the relationships you will build with coworkers and stakeholders…but that’s to be expected in any work environment. I would take a position at Nielsen only to get a paycheck while I continued to search for other employment opportunities.

- Poor career growth, there are no opportunities to grow other than business needs (which come rarely). Don't let personal development programs offered by the company fool you either...they are a facade to make the workforce feel as if career growth is possible. - No cost-of-living adjustments in the past few years that I have worked here. In top of that, I never received a merit increase either. - Salary was over 35% lower than jobs with the same title and roles/responsibilities in the same geographic location. Bonuses were also very low for the position and haven't been paid out at 100% in a long time due to companies financial performance - Benefits are mediocre, they aren't horrible but don't let someone convince you that they are great - Job security is non-existent as Nielsen has gone through multiple rounds of layoffs ("RIFs") in the past 2 years. Most recently, the new CEO shared that Nielsen would be investing in "Global Capability Centers" in India, Mexico, and Poland - which is just a fancy way to state they are offshoring US-based jobs for a cheaper workforce (these roles include Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Product Management, Dev, and more). - Nielsen's products are lacking to keep up with the change in the media industry and their clients are well aware of this. Much of this is due the the fault of leadership making incredibly poor decisions on how the panel operates in the modern world (they act like we live in the 2000s or earlier)
