This place is a sinking ship. You can tell management is stressed and it’s lowering morale. There has been a lot of unnecessary change and if you’re one of the few favorites this is your time to shine. Otherwise the company is looking for scapegoats for its declining performance. The company leans heavy on operations without investing or understanding other areas of the business very well, lacking strategic vision. This has contributed to a toxic micromanagement approach because the top doesn’t have a clear view of where they’re going. They expect you to move fast and break things but if you break things you’re in big trouble or you get hit with some sort of uphill battle in whatever you do next/moving forward. This work environment is not very conducive to a growth and testing mindset and you can expect to have eyes on you if you color outside the lines. So at the end of the day the pace feels very corporate but the expectation is you move at startup speed. Very confusing and unsupportive system. Hard to do your best work here.

I worked here as a software engineer. The team was small, initially there was nothing in place as I started from scratch for the project. Over time I contributed to getting everything in place. There was no assistance or help provided by the manager, she used to take offs very often and only appeared to be in the stand-up meetings in the morning and gets disappeared. Even if you try getting in contact with her she does not respond. Later when I provided genuine feedback on her. She MENTALLY HARRASED me on calls in front of the entire team. I followed the escalation process and informed the CTO (Chief Technical Officer) explaining the situation and providing all the details well documented showing all the efforts I have contributed to the company so far, he initially acknowledged but he was playing behind and supported the manager. They moved all my contributions to my colleague's name who did not contribute much (facts were provided in the documentation), one fine day they just called me and informed me that I was fired. HR could not answer any of my questions because she was advised by management to do so. I felt helpless even after providing all the proof required to take action against the manager. I do not want someone else to face a similar issue but she did the same with other employees recently. Maybe the management itself is corrupt and favoring people who do not deserve to be there.
