Sometimes more communication would help

Underwent a merge at the beginning of 2016 and still managed to make money; most companies expect to lose money the first year. All locations meet every morning on VC for a 30 min. meeting where everyone is welcome to speak. Some people ask how we can afford such a meeting every day; I have come to see that we can't afford not to have it. It has been the main catalyst for this merge being so successful. There is a zeal and passion for helping customers have the best experience--this culture has been cultivated for 20+ years. Humor and fun is not frowned upon--you are encouraged to be yourself and if humor is your thing, you have a captive audience. Offer a wellness program to all employees. You get money for meeting your goals and they are there to help you up if you don't meet them. Encourages product training experiences--you don't get the benefits if you elect yourself out of them Mr. School Products :)

Great place to work but you better buckle up because it's gonna be a wild ride. Your work/life balance is going to take a nosedive. Pace of growth has caused bonuses and pay raises to take second place. Trust that will change when everything evens out. Accountability struggles--office politics may play a part in this.
