Pay in US has not kept up with similar companies. Constant layoffs - Every 3rd Thursday of the month. Layoff are semi-secretive - you only find out people have been let go when they disappear. In the 2010s there were multiple years without raises and most years the bonuses were reduced due to company not achieving goals. Constant pressure to outsource to cheaper cost centers. People are secretive about their work so they cannot be easily replaced and team work is limited due to fear of being laid off. No 401K match but now there is Cash pension account. Not many US Holidays but generous paid vacation. Top heavy company even as direct reports have been continually reduced. Constant campus consolidations and pressure to eliminate US campuses. Not a safe environment to challenge the norm despite the company advertising a safe environment to speak up and challenge the norm. Career opportunities in the US are severely limited.
