Vantaggi
Making the jump from Big Law to Norm Ai has completely changed how I think about my career and what it means to be excited about coming to work. The difference in culture was obvious to me from day one—actually, even before day one. I went to my first Norm happy hour about a week before I officially started, and it struck me immediately: people here were genuinely interested in me—not just my resume. In just two hours, my soon-to-be coworkers knew more about me, my strengths, and what makes me tick than anyone at my old firm did after working together for two years.
At Norm, the culture goes so far beyond the typical "teamwork" talk you see everywhere. It's low-ego, deeply collaborative, and driven by real curiosity. You can actually feel that everyone is working towards the same goal and you are encouraged to bring your ideas forward.
I can honestly say Norm is the most rewarding, intellectually stimulating place I’ve had the chance to work. If you value genuine connection, autonomy, and doing work that actually matters, you’ll thrive here.
Svantaggi
Working at a startup is not for everyone. Things move quickly, priorities can shift, and there’s a lot of room (and expectation) to carve your own path. While you do get onboarding and everyone is very approachable—people genuinely want to help you succeed and work together—there isn’t always a clear, rigid structure or step-by-step instructions. If you’re someone who thrives in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments, you’ll love it here. But if you need a lot of structure or prefer working in a more traditional, hierarchical setting, this might not feel like the right fit.
