They will lie to you fairly well to get you in the door. It's only after you're in that you realize how slipshod the company is actually run.

It started being lied to about the wages, told I would be paid based on whatever job I was doing initially. I was not they give $9/hour and act like they're doing you a favor because they're no longer hiring at minimum wage. Then onto orientation, had someone told me the woman doing the orientation was a full blown alcoholic, it would not surprise me at all. The most unprofessional, chaotic, unorganized orientation I've ever endured. Not to mention, the language coming out of this woman's mouth. I'm not a saint when it comes to cussing, but pretty sure it shouldn't happen coming from a supposed HR professional orientating new employees. Move on to the actual working conditions. They are spending money on televisions for the plant and t-shirts to try to do the team work/divide and conquer to get more production tactic. However, they will not spend money to upgrade their machinery or their safety precautions and prefer to have their employees shackled to their machine like livestock in the name of safety. The tethers restrict natural range of motion, I'm surprised the wrist and shoulder injuries aren't through the roof because of it. Not to mention if you need to quickly move away from the machine, you cannot, you're horse tethered to it. The "schedule" for work is absolute chaos, they're quickly falling behind on orders simply because they cannot keep quality workers. You get what you pay for. Their staff is predominately temporary workers who rarely show up or are too concerned with their next court date or passing their next urine test than the job. There is no order in how the place is run. They will brag about how many new orders they have but are on the verge of losing older customers due to being unable to fulfill orders because there is no organization. One lead who I had the displeasure to work with, whom was ultimately the straw that broke the camel's back for me, is aggressively arrogant and borderline abusive to employees, throws temper tantrums like a 2 year old and is completely sanctioned in his actions by the supervisory staff. Another reason they cannot keep quality employees. I was hired on to work 4-10 hour days, which they quickly changed to 5-8 hour days. They changed the pay schedule and demanded the sixth day of overtime every week. All of this is sanctioned by their union. Apparently they have the worst union in the history of unions as the pay is low,the conditions atrocious, and the company is allowed to change whatever they want when they want.
