Training manager of the training academy loves to talk about himself like he created training and is incredibly disrespectful to his staff, to an extent that when he makes even the smallest decision he’ll say things like “this is why I sit in the big seat and you don’t” and when discussing previous employees of his team he would say “who” like they didn’t exist anymore. Made the experience horrible for many and was clearly out of his depth and thought himself above any form of criticism despite feedback that he wasn’t Claude from the apprentice and he was in charge of people being paid 20 odd grand a year not senior executives on 100k plus! Maybe some actual people management training would help. But somehow I imagine not Contact centre management was a mixed bag of people either trying to be your best friend or ruling with an iron fist at all times! People are human, treat them as such! Enormously scripted conversations over the phone taking away any individuality. Most people are just employed based on living locally instead of being right for the job. Unpleasant and very antiquated way of doing things. After working there for years I can safely say I might the right choice to leave and haven’t looked back. The pay is below industry standard too. Don’t do it, you’ll regret working there.
