I’m disappointed this comment has been put on without the individual who wrote it coming to talk with me personally to better understand the situation. As I admitted in the meeting I am something of a luddite with regard to “social media”, and, on the hoof having just presented, I didn’t immediately recognise the Glassdoor platform name. I read the original review and wrote a response, which was then kindly posted for me by someone who actually understands social media. I stand by my transparency and openness in communications to all staff during this time of change and improvement and reiterate my offer made at all my presentations to come and see me if someone has an issue. The continued use of Glassdoor to make accusations against management and ‘score points’ is wearisome and doesn’t help us have the kind of open, and yes, sometimes difficult, conversations I was trying to encourage with the communications meeting mentioned. I hope we can move forward in the spirit I had intended by sharing information with the team face to face.
