Vantaggi

This is literally the worst place I've ever worked at. Pros are you get to work with the bottom of the barrel that want to pull you down to their level and you're able to have a close up view of insecurity, unprofessionalism, laziness, incompetence, backstabbing, immaturity, sabotaging, unethical, and lemming behavior in people at a work place.

Svantaggi

Northside Molecular Diagnostics department has some serious issues and really needs to be cleaned out in more than one way. Management there plays favorites and likes to turn everyone against each other. They love drama and constantly made up lies about me and other people who worked there to try turn people against each other. It's sad because the manipulation from the manager and from the most insecure people I've met in this field caused a lot of drama to make their sad existences exciting for once. This place has an extremely toxic team who likes to point fingers and make huge problems out of mole hills. They try to say they're a team when they intentionally separate groups of people and create different teams within the team to be able to be against each other still. They try to make everything a problem if they have personal issues with you and if you show any resistance, they try to make things worse by becoming disrespecful and then accuse you of being disrespectful when you haven't said or done anything to show disrespect. Reporting things to HR is useless because they don't do anything about the vicious behavior of these "people". Instead of mitigating issues, management takes sides based on who gossips to her first instead of listening to both sides and coming up with a sound solution for everyone to make the workplace peaceful. I've never seen a manager as embarassing as the one at Northside due to poor leadership and management skills. They are also constantly trying to embarass employees who they don't like by having underhanded meetings berating them. Advancement opportunities are scarce unless you're one of the favorites. Merit does not actually matter at all here. The manager here e went around telling people I would never make more money than what I made at Northside. Insane to have a manager who was 30+ years older being so immature and ill informed about everything and it speaks to the quality of work/workers she has on the Molecular team. Also, mainly older people work here but they all still have the mindset of 10 year olds, so if you do choose to work here just make sure you are extremely immature and you'll be fine.

Vantaggi

-The best IMS Director in the Atlanta area. -Some of the best IMS physician and consultant colleagues. -Patient load is manageable, especially with the complex patient population. -Benefits are pretty good, especially the pension, but health insurance can be better. -Love the fact that we have PTO -We can grab food from cafeteria for free if we don’t like the food served at the physician lounge.

Svantaggi

-Administration could be more responsive (but seems like that’s everywhere now days) -Wish the EMR was EPIC, Cerner PowerChart is ok -Most of the docs are on 5/5 schedule but bunch of us swapped shifts to make 7/7 work at the Atlanta / Sandy Spring location, like it was mentioned before the director is awesome and allowed the swap.

Vantaggi

I have been privileged to work for Northside Hospital for the past five years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. During my tenure, I have benefited from the organization's commitment to employee growth through its annual internal promotion policy, which has allowed me to advance within my current department. One of the aspects I value most is Northside's support for work-life balance and professional development. While working here, I was able to begin my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from the ground up and am on track to graduate in December 2026. The flexibility and encouragement provided by the organization have played a significant role in helping me pursue my educational goals while continuing to contribute as an employee. I was a full-time employee for most of my career with the organization and recently transitioned to part-time status to accommodate the increased demands of my nursing program. The support and understanding shown by management throughout this process have reinforced my appreciation for the company's employee-centered culture. I am grateful for the opportunities, professional growth, and support I have received over the past five years.
