Vantaggi

High technical competency in growing cybersecurity industry. Employees are highly incentivized to be self-starters and add to the business. Flat organization for company of this size. Entry level employees have ended up in management positions. Easy to move from one department to another to scratch a technical itch. Didn't experience any cultural drama or toxicity. Everyone was very friendly and accessible.

Svantaggi

Chronic short-termism. Little to no investment in initiatives that don't immediately result in billable projects Low base compensation, even for engineers, with rest tied to project billing. Company justifies that employees can act as entrepreneurs with no salary ceiling, but really company just takes most of the cut with little practical sales support. The result is an MLM type arrangement where engineers have to drum up own business but not see most of what they bill. Too large a focus on vendor partners and too little focus on quality internal processes and procedures. Result is growth and scaling difficulties.
